If the lock works properly and you simply want the old keys dead, rekeying is faster and cheaper because you keep the hardware. Replace when the lock is worn, damaged, corroded — or you want a different style, grade or keypad. When we are at your door we will tell you straight which one your situation actually needs.

What is the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock?
Rekeying changes the internal pins so old keys no longer work — your existing lock hardware stays in place. Replacement swaps the whole lock. Rekeying is faster and less expensive when the hardware itself is still in good shape.
How long does a rekey take?
Most single-door rekeys take under an hour. Multi-door homes and commercial properties take longer depending on the number of locks, but we typically finish in one visit.
Can you set up a master key system for my business?
Yes. We can rekey a whole property so one master key opens every door while individual keys are restricted to specific rooms or units.
Do you charge extra for nights, weekends, or holidays?
